Sk8brd Commission Project

Here are a few images of a four deck piece, skateboard commission project i am working on. Three of the four, are for the most part done consisting primarily of patterns and textures. The fourth, mostly white deck, will be be covered with a very stylish, tattooed young lady and a mix of elements from the other three decks. I don't want to completely ruin the surprise for the buyer so i decided not to post the roughed in sketches of her. I'll post the complete final project once finished.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow - Wood

This piece was created for the upcoming group show at Rivet Gallery in Columbus, OH on August 1st, titled "We'll be right back... after these messages".  This is a theme show based off of Saturday morning cartoons from the 80's and 90's. I chose to "loosely" base my design off of Rainbow Brite. The piece measures 18" x 24" x 4" deep.
If you are in the Columbus area please check out the show. Check out the screen prints below that go along with this piece.

Burger King Studios

The rainy Chicago weather didn’t stop over 600 people from packing the space on opening night! Zebo started the night off on the turntables, while arriving guests discovered the silkscreening bar. Featuring artwork elements from all of the show’s participating artists, this station allowed visitors to roll up their sleeves and create their own custom-screened shirt by hand. It was a bit more popular than anticipated, and the shirt making madness continued well into the night, with dance party beats served up headlining DJs E-6 and Matt Roan.
